Auditions for the second semester of the orchstra season, for both the Aurora Youth Sinfonietta and the Aurora Youth Symphony will take place Monday, January 11.

Auditions will be held in Suite 100 in the North Island Center of the Paramount Theater Complex, 8 East Galena Blvd., Aurora 60506

Sign-ups are now being accepted in all sections in both orchestras.

Requirements for Auditions:

1) Prepared Etude / Solo
2) Major Scales / Rudiments
3) Sightreading

Students will be placed in one of two organizations:

1) Aurora Youth Symphony - Full Orchestra
Rehearsals are 6pm-8pm on Monday evenings beginning August 24

2) Aurora Youth Sinfonietta - Intermediate String Orchestra
Rehearsals are 6pm-7:30pm on Thursday evening beginning September 3

Cost of participation is $300 per orchestra member. Scholarships are available based on need.
